Redlands CATF Committee Member Profiles

Tracey Anthony
Traecey Anthony graduated with a BA in Criminal Justice/Paralegal Studies from Cal State University San Bernardino. Employed by the County of San Bernardino since 1989, she is currently a Senior Planner in the Planning and Permitting Section of the Solid Waste Management Division where her duties include environmental analysis, mitigation compliance monitoring, and the permitting of solid waste facilities.

Jonathan Baty
Jonathan Baty is Vice President of Technology for EnerPath/ECC – both local energy efficiency innovation firms. He has been involved in the field of Energy Efficiency (EE) program development, software development and delivery for almost 20 years and sees EE as a least cost pathway to reduce GHG emissions at a profit. Jonathan incorporates energy efficiency and healthy lifestyles into his family life by bicycle commuting with his daughter to school on his ride to work and enjoying local vegetarian cuisine. He is also government affairs manager for the Bicycle Commuter Coalition of the Inland Empire.

Frank Coyle
Frank Coyle is employed as a Senior Project Manager with Michael Brandman Associates, a local environmental consulting firm. Frank has also previously worked for the City of Palm Springs Planning Department and the County of Riverside Planning and Transportation departments. Frank has resided in Redlands since 2000 and enjoys biking on the weekends. Frank and his wife Tamara, are currently in the process of adopting a little girl from China.

Paul Foster
Paul received his undergraduate degree in Political Science/Public Administration from the University of San Diego and his Masters Degree in Human Resources from the University of Redlands. Paul is the Assistant Medical Group Administrator at Southern California Permanente Medical Group, where he is responsible for a staff in excess of 700 in fifteen departments and a multi million dollar operations and capital budget. Over twenty-seven years with Kaiser Permanente, Paul has been honored multiple times including the recipient of the organization’s Exceptional Contribution Award on five different occasions, and most recently he has overseen the planning and development of the Kaiser Redlands Medical Offices. Paul has been engaged in community activities for over twenty years after settling in Redlands in 1983.

Katharine Havert
Kathy attended the University of California at Davis, the University of Montana in Missoula, and California State University at San Bernardino, receiving her B.S. and teaching credential in Montana and finishing her M.A. in Environmental Education at Cal State. Kathy taught life, earth, and physical science, generously sprinkled with Energy Efficiency, for twenty years until her retirement in June, 2006. She also has been actively involved in the Cal State Environmental EXPO, curriculum writing, Inland Science and Engineering Fair, and several other academic projects. Kathy now plans to devote her time to the promotion and implementation of Environmental Education and Literacy throughout Region 10 as the coordinator of CREEC, an environmental education website that provides resources to educators, and as a Service Learning Specialist with the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools.

Jan Hudson
Jan Hudson, Chair of the Redlands Climate Action Task Force, is a Director with the Inland Empire Labor Management Cooperation Committee representing electrical contractors in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. Jan is a resident of Redlands, a member of the Rotary Club of Redlands, an active partner with the Alliance for Education, Chair Elect for the Fontana Chamber of Commerce, Executive Board member of the IE Business Development Association, Executive Board member of the IE US Green Building Council, and Chair of the USGBC-IE of the Energy Committee. Jan has provided leadership in the expansion of education and training programs in the fields of alternative energy sources and green building for electrical contractors and for the development of workforce in these areas.

Marvin Hudson
Since 1991, owner of a local financing brokerage arranging loans for energy efficiency improvements and renewable energy projects as Viewpoint Green, and for mortgages as Viewpoint Financial, Marvin Hudson has been in the loan brokerage business since 1984.

Bill Jury
Dr. William Jury is Distinguished Professor of Environmental Sciences at the University of California Riverside, and previously served as both Vice Provost for Academic Personnel, and Interim Executive Vice Chancellor. He is a Fellow of three national societies, and is a member of the US National Academy of Sciences. His main research interests are global water issues and chemical transport and fate in soil and groundwater, and he has been identified as one of the 100 most highly cited researchers in the world in both the fields of engineering and environmental sciences/ecology.


Rabbi Douglas Kohn
Douglas Kohn is Rabbi of Congregation Emanu El, presently in San Bernardino, where he leads our valley’s oldest synagogue, directing all worship, life-cycle, educational and communal matters for the Jewish community. He is married to Reva Bloom, a Holistic health practitioner with an office in Redlands, and is father to two children who are away at college, Benjamin and Elena.

Dan Rendler
Dan, a community leader who actively participates in numerous professional and community based organizations, has extensive experience in the energy industry and is currently a Regional Director for Sempra Energy utilities (Southern California Gas Company and San Diego Gas and Electric). He believes we are all responsible for the current sustainability and future well being of our communities, not just environmentally but also socially and economically. Dan, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Northridge and an MBA with honors from The University of Redlands where he received the Gordon Atkins Award for life-long learning was inducted into the Whitehead Leadership Society.

Eric Shamp
Eric Shamp, AIA, LEED AP is a Redlands planning commissioner, architect, and principal of Ecotype Consulting. He works with a wide array of clients, sharing his passion and expertise in green development, design, and construction. In addition, Mr. Shamp provides training through the US Green Building Council – Inland Empire, and has served as instructor or guest lecturer at UC Riverside Extension, San Bernardino Community College, and the University of Redlands. By locating his business in a historic daylit building with operable windows within biking distance of his home, he has reduced his personal carbon emissions by more than 50%.

David Taylor
David M. Taylor is a Project Manager for Southern California Edison's Energy Related Services. His resume includes Resource Efficiency Management for the Department of the Army and over 18 years experience in Developing and implementing energy conservation projects and programs for Federal, Local Government, and School District customers

Lisa Teichgraeber
Lisa Teichgraeber is a LEED Accredited Professional with HMC Architects. Her experience includes building design and planning sustainable project strategies

Michael Westerfield
Michael Westerfield is a native of Redlands and University of Redlands alum. He is interested in reducing our reliance on foreign oil and minimizing waste.

Glenna Wiseman
Glenna Wiseman is a seasoned business executive with a long standing passion for the application of business principles to “green” goals. Her position as vice president of Marketing for the HelioGroup affords her the vision on energy efficiency, renewable energy (solar photovoltaics in particular) and the financing challenges inherent in the clean tech sector. Glenna and her son are residents of Redlands and her family has been in the area for two decades.

Lee Young
Senior aerospace engineer and research manager. Post graduate professor of research and development management. Mathematics teacher at Redlands High School. Lee is often active in Redlands growth and development issues. US Air Force Colonel (Retired.)
